Introduction to a Plant Based Diet with Dr. Lim

Having a board-certified medical doctor explain the ins and outs of the plant-based diet can help ease your mind in the early days of making this switch. Dr. Lim is one of a new wave of young, highly trained doctors who have embraced the science and medicine of the plant-based lifestyle. Dr. Lim does a fantastic job of presenting a clear overview in this one-hour presentation from the TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa California.

The Diet

The dietary plan for the first 90 days focusses on eradicating the disease from your body. Remember, you will be using food as your medicine. The foods chosen for the first 90 days are the best foods (and combinations of foods) that promote alkalinity in your body and directly fight diseases. This means that for the first 90 days of the diet, your variety of food will be limited. You need to eat the same foods day after day for the next 90 days. This does not mean that the food is boring or bland. You will quickly adapt to the prescribed menu and start to enjoy it. There are certain foods and products that are totally prohibited if you want this protocol to be effective. The recipes are tasty and easy to make. Most of the essential supplements are incorporated into the recipes.

After the first 90 days of the diet, the menu becomes more versatile with more options to choose from and a greater variety of recipes will be made available for you to choose from.
